ANTS - The majority of ants are predators or scavengers, feeding on a wide range of prey including other arthropods and seeds. In general, ants show a preference for foraging either during the day or at night. In some groups, foraging will occur both during the day and at night, although there may be peaks of activity with fewer foragers active during other periods.

COCKROACHES - Much of the feeding habits of native Australian cockroaches is unknown, but it is likely the majority are omnivorous. Cockroaches in Australia are widespread and have adapted to both wet and dry environments. Most species are nocturnal and ground dwelling and are usually found hiding during the day in crevices, under bark, rocks or logs and in burrows. Some species may occur on plants or in litter and some also occur solely in caves or ant nests whilst others are associated with human habitation.

Bees- Knox Pest Control

BEES - Bees are adapted for feeding on nectar and pollen, the former primarily as an energy source and the latter primarily for protein and other nutrients. Most pollen is used as food for larvae. All bees have two pairs of wings, the hind pair being the smaller of the two; in a very few species, one sex or caste has relatively short wings that make flight difficult or impossible, but none are wingless.

CARPET BEETLES - Carpet beetles may frequently damage carpets, rugs, underfelt, wall hangings, clothing, wool insulation and insect collections. If an infested article is transportable, remove and disinfect by heat or cold treatment. Leave it in the sun wrapped in black plastic, or deep-freeze it for two weeks. Vacuum carpets, rugs, soft furnishings and upholstery frequently and thoroughly. Washing and steam-cleaning where appropriate is effective, and clean unused clothes well and store them in plastic bags.

Wasps - Knox Pest Control

WASPS - The European wasp's analogous markings are fused with the black rings above them, forming a pattern. The nest is made from chewed plant fibres, mixed with saliva. It is generally found close to, or in the ground, rather than higher up on bushes and trees like hornets. A finished nest may be 20–30 cm across and contain 3,000 individuals. Colonies usually last only one year, with all but the queen dying at the onset of winter.
